Ruimtevaart-ingenieur (Rod Taylor) valt op pr-dame (Doris Day) en huurt haar in om zijn biografie te schrijven. Tegelijkertijd wordt de dame in kwestie aangezien voor een Russische spion omdat haar hondje Vladimir heet. Heerlijke onzin geheel in de lijn van voormalig striptekenaar Tashlin, die Jayne Mansfield onsterfelijk maakte met vergelijkbare over-de-top komedies als Will Succes Spoil Rock Hunter? Tashlin en Day maakten een jaar later het niet minder krankzinnige Caprice, waarin Day wel degelijk een geheim agent speelde.
