AMC Renews 'Breaking Bad' for Final Season.

Negotiations over AMC's hit drama 'Breaking Bad' had been seemingly rocky, but it's been confirmed that the network has ordered 16 episodes for the fifth and final season. Fans can breathe easy that the series will receive proper closure after it had been rumored that AMC was pushing for a shortened six to eight episode season.
 
"It's a funny irony - I'd hate to know the date of my own last day on earth, but I'm delighted to know what Walter White's will be (episodically speaking)," said creator Vince Gilligan in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "This is a great gift to me and to my wonderful writers. It's knowledge which will allow us to properly build our story to a satisfying conclusion." 

A date for the season premiere has yet to be announced.
